The Wolves have the 5th & 6th pick. They shipped out Randy Foye and Mike Miller. The KNicks are affected by this. I think that Donnie Walsh is upset by this move. Stephen Curry will be off the board by then. Tyreke Evans will be gone by then. Ricky Rubio will be gone too. James Harden wont be there then. I think that they need to go for a PG. I also think that Nate Robinson needs to stay with The Knicks too, but i also cant have both he and a player like Flynn in the backcourt as well. I would love to bring in Hasshem Thabeet, but he'll be gone at 2 based on my research. I'd like to see Jordan Hill, but the Warriors will have selected him if he's there. I am left with players  Flynn and Holiday. Donnie Walsh can't get creative and drop down in the Draft and get two picks, a Ty Law

I am well aware of the crap shoot that the NBA Draft can be. Especially, when you consider that the best talent may be deeper in the middle to late rounds, than in the top 5. I think I'll go out on the limb and say that the next rookie of the year, might be a Courtney Lee type of player. A polished player coming out of college, the type of player that contributes yo wins. Blake Griffin is a quality player, and put up great numbers at Oklahoma, but he is not Micheal Beasley. So, i don't expect Beasley's numbers from Griffin, and his numbers weren't that great. (13ppg/5.3rebs 47%FG) We don't have the Derrick Rose scenario, a proven floor general that can get his own shoot when ever he needed to.(16,3ppg 6.8ast, 47%FG)  I can see Sam Young going to a team that competes and get 6th man mi

I am not a pessimistic observer of The New York Knicks. I watch them  and believe they will win any team they hoop again. But, reality kicks in when the ball is put in the air. Draft day is closer and Blake Griffin will be a Clipper and Mike Dunleavy has himself the Elton Brand player he lost. The La Clippers, will have a nice squad in '09 and I think Baron Davis has another piece. They won't be a lottery pick again, and might win a playoff spot. On a side not, I wonder if the NBA will ever play to a .500 league winning percentage. Teams like Memphis, Minnesota, Oklamhoma, Sacremento, and even New York have fired their coaches because owners were tired of the losing. They vow to the fans to try and make the playoffs, and put good product on the hardwood. I wonder if the league strides

The Knicks are beginning their path to October of 09'. The team will be de-void of any drama,(Eddy Curry is still there, man i almost forgot.) The Knicks will try and tell anyone that is listening that they are looking to "win 40 games this season." There is no reason why he shouldn't say that in my opinion. Larry Hughes will be a showcase player much like Zach Randolph was, and i think Al Harrington should be a opening season story of how he got himself in his greatest playing shape ever. Q-Rich, is going to be Q-Rich. He plays hard in the post on offense and provides tough perimeter d. Gallinari, I hope gets better and quicker, enough to put him in the Sophomore All-star game. That would be, Lee, Chandler, and then Gallo. I don't know what they want to do with their role player

So, its clear that the Knicks 2009 season ended the way we all expected. When Mike D'Antoni was introduced to New York on May 13th 2008,and he promised that his teams would play hard and they would be exciting. He told us to buckle up our seat belts and watch them go for it. And, at the outset it looked like the Knicks could have made the playoffs. Before December, they were 8-8, and play like that could have gotten them into the playoffs, but then the financials got in the way. Donnie Walsh felt that, ( or so it appears) waiting for the end of the season to make moves for 2010 would be too long. Jamal Crawford was traded on Nov 21, for  disgruntled Al Harrington from Golden State, (a player i thought the Knicks could have benefited from trading for) although he has a termination clause after this season. They traded away Zach Randolph and Marty Colllins a couple of hours later on the same day for Cuttino Mobley and Tim THomas. These moves gave the Knicks great opportunity to lose game after game after game. Cuttino Mobley retired, after doctor after doctors told him his hyperthrophic cardiomyopathy progressively got worse. Although they couldn't predict that he would have to retire, they also didn't think that these guys would ever really make it to the playoffs, how could they?
