Wouldn't all New York fans like the 1970 Knicks back? No doubt, any Knicks fan wouldn't mind a 21st Century championship win, but what do the Knicks have to do to prove themselves and get back to their winning ways? Lets analyze 3 very important steps coach Mike D' Antoni and Donnie Walsh are going to have to make.
1.) Don't get rid of Stephon Marbury. One of the most talented and veristile players on this Knicks roster aside from Nate Robinson and Jamal Crawford. All he needs is some time off. Give him a week or two off. Give him time to rehabilitate himself, and get his act together. Maybe have him spend some time with retired legendary knicks players or some retired coaches that have played the game. This will help him to realize the importance of the game again, and not just have him worrying about his contract all the time. Maybe some of these elder more experienced players can help him to lead this fading New York Knicks team and bring back the legacy of the mighty New York Knicks franchise.
