David Lee posted his 10th consecutive double-double Saturday night against the Indiana Pacers, with 23 points and 17 rebounds, on the way to a 122-113 victory. Lee is now tied with Dwight Howard for the lead in double-doubles with 35 this year.
Lee posted one of his best lines of the year two days after not being announced as a reserve in this year's all-star game. Part of me is not surprised at how good Lee has been this year, but I also wonder why D'Antoni felt he could not play in his system back when he was coaching Phoenix. With all the hoopla this year about how D'Antoni was going to limit Lee's playing time, I'm really glad Lee is flourishing.
I just wonder if he's still going to be with the Knicks after the trade deadline.
