It's not too early is it?

The Yankees look good, and i think that it isn't too early to mention magic number. The amount of games they have to play until they can "pop champagne." I'm just putting it out there, there are bigger concerns with the team, oh wait, no there isn't. They look like they will lose to the A's on the opening night of the series. It would have been nice to give them a day off, but having been shut out 3 other times, the last by Atlanta, on June 23rd. But what do you say, go get them again tomorrow. By the way, any combination of 51 wins it for the Yankees. They win that much, the Red Sox's lose that many, the team will be celebrating the championship of their division. I think that A-Rod is playing hurt, because he looks a little slow, and although that is obvious to see, it's worth noting how regular he looks. I think Joba should have been in the bullpen already, and the innings limit is an issue. They need to let the season flow, and sit back. Let this season play out as constructed. Joba goes for it this year, and worry about the arm in the off-season, and spring training. If Joba's arm is truly precious, they would need to sign Roy Halladay, and trade him next off-season. They could replenish their team with a mid- season trade. The Yankees just need to get ready for post season. A-Rod needs to stay in a slump until Mid-September. Then, he can go on a torrid hitting spree for the team, carrying them through the postseason. I can't wait until they get A-Rod to go on Dancing with the Stars, not that I would watch, but I think he would actually agree to go on that show, just because it mentions the word star in it. I'm not bashing the guy, because I'll be the first one to say, he is my favorite player to watch play, behind Jeter, Tino, Chili Davis, Prince Fielder, Manny, Delgado, Abreu, Sizemore, Hunter, Wright,(in Shea) Hanley, and others. A-Rod is in there some where, so I think the dude is good. But, he has to have "Reggie" moments. I want NY'ers to really accept this guy. I want him to fulfill the length of his contract, the more illusive the World Series is for him, the more illusive the fan's total acceptance, and true admiration.
