This is New York, and I know we are waiting for 2010, where the marquee players will be available, but this is just not what the fans are looking for. Draft picks aren't good enough to rally the base, and only Rubio, Curry, or Evans, would have excited the city. Hill and Douglas-especially Douglas- will prove to be well researched players. They might turn out spectacular plays, but don't have the rubber stamp, of cant miss player tag. I just want to see the organization take steps towards greatness, and it's not likely going to come from buying a team, although the Yankees may have done it this off-season. But, there were players on the Yankees roster prior to off season acquisitions. They are still showing signs of mediocrity and the fans have nothing to be excited for, besides their young players. Chandler, Gallo, Hill and Douglass. Add Hughes to that lineup and what do u have? Or, Duhon, Hughes, Chandler, Gallo, Hill? Hughes, Chandler, Gallo, Jefferies, Harrington? Douglas, Chandler, Gallo, Harrington, Hill? All of these possibilities have no real defensive scheme. Douglass will be an annoying defender, and point guards will be on notice. I'd like to see him and Nate in the back-court, with Chandler, Harrington and Hill. Hughes and Jefferies are expendable, and hopefully play well to get offers for a

Today, the Toronto Raptors traded Jermaine O'Neal, Jamario Moon, and a lottery-protected first round pick to the Miami Heat in exchange for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks.  On the surface this looks like a great trade for the Heat, but it can also cause potential problems for the Knicks as they do battle with the Raptors twice next week and will continue to battle them down the stretch in the Chase For The Eighth Seed.
