The two most successful teams in NBA History will be going at it in the NBA Finals tonight. The Celtics already own 16 championships while the Lakers are sitting at 13 championships. Each team will be looking to become one game closer to another ring. This will be the most exciting NBA Finals that we have witnessed in recent years. I like to call this years NBA Finals “Star-Studded”:
Point Guard (Derek Fisher vs. Rajon Rondo) Derek Fisher has been through it all with the Lakers. He already has 3 rings under his belt and he’s been in these NBA Finals before. He is also still pretty good defensively. On the other hand, Rajon Rondo has been running Boston Celtics the whole season and through the playoffs. He knows he will have to use his speed to his advantage. He will be getting into transition and slashing to the hole all day. He will have no problem keeping up with the not so fast Derek Fisher. However, Fisher’s experience will overcome.

The Detroit Pistons are now on their search for a new coach. Flip Saunders was released today.
“Decisions like this are difficult to make, especially with the success we have had throughout the last three regular seasons,” Dumars said in a statement. “However, at this time, I feel it is necessary to make a change. “I thank Flip for his hard work and dedication, but it is time for a new voice to lead our team.” - Joe Dumars
I figured this would happen because Saunders helped them to the Eastern Conference Final each of the last three seasons. However he was unsuccessful in winning each time. I still think he should be given to chance to finish off the last year on his contract. I mean, unless they plan of bringing in a load of new faces, just keep Saunder one more year.

Paul Pierce v. Kobe Bryant. Period. These two will be lighting up the scoreboard the whole series. Expect to see a couple of 40 point games. However this series is not just about the scorers. It will be about "Team". The Celtics as a team are great especially defensively. They will need to stop Kobe and it will be a team effort. That team effort will also be put toward trying to control the Lakers bench. The Lakers are also great as a team and their offensive is near unstoppable when they are jelling. You must expect the better team to win. The Celtics need production from their whole supporting cast. Its pretty much a given that their big 3 will be producing. Hopefuly Ray Allen will be a different man in this series because he disappeared agains the Pistons. From what I have seen in the past, when Kobe is on the other team Ray Allen brings his best. I feel like all the Lakers need is big play from Lamar Odom to win this series. It seems to me that the Lakers go as Odom goes. Look for him and Gasol to be working Kevin Garnet like a slave. Look out for my preview on Wednesday, I will be going in detail on what each team needs to do to win.

We currently own the #6 Pick in the NBA Draft this June. I would have love for us to get a chance to grab Derrick Rose, but thats out of the picture. However, I'm thinking we need a point guard that will be running our team. Unless Donnie Walsh will be trading for T.J. Ford or Kirk Hinrich, I think we should be looking to get O.J. Mayo or D.J. Augustin. I feel they are more than capable of running the show in NYC. If we can not get anyone of these players, I think drafting the best player available isn't going to do much to help us. Walsh has already stated what he's trying to do with the pick
"We're going to look at every option," Walsh said in a state-of-the-Knicks Address at Disney's Wide World of Sports. "Trade it outright for a very good NBA player. Trade back for multiple picks. Trade up. There's a lot of different things you do. You explore everything."

I see that Donnie Walsh is showing that he wont be playing any games with the Knicks. He is showing that he is strictly behind Mike D' Antoni. If any Knicks player want to get out of line, expect to hear from "The Boss" Donnie Walsh.
"I know one thing. Mike's not going to be the problem," Walsh said edgily. "Let's put it that way. If that's what you want me to say, I just said it."
I Love it!! Let me say that one more time. I Love it!!. This is exactly what we need. Hopefully, this works out well for the team. I'm looking forward to see what happens because I know Stephon Marbury likes to clash with his coach.
